Fairy Tales

The following story is written in the spirit of jest and fun. It is PURELY fictional and any resemblance to anyone, dead or alive, is absolutely COINCIDENTAL.

Ya… even having the same name is coincidental.

The REAL Cindirella I know is a NICE person. REALLY!!!

Once Upon a Time

"Once upon a time, someone really messed up the Cindirella story. You see, I’m Anidrella and this is my sister, Billirella, and we’re better known as Cindirella's step-sisters, but, I beg you to believe us, we are not horrible people. And we're here to tell you the real story of Cindirella and what really happened, not the distorted junk they have in the books nowadays.”

"It all started on my tenth birthday. Our mother had planned the most wonderful party for me. I had this lovely cake, and extravagant presents, and Mother even gave me a new, blue, silk dress trimmed in lace and pearls. It was the most lavish and gorgeous dress I had ever laid eyes on. It looked like something a princess would wear. I could still imagine myself dancing in the dress, swinging in rhythm to the music as all the boys watched me with desire and the other girls looked on with envy. The dress must have cost a fortune because it--"

"--Anidrella!” interrupted Billirella. “You're going off topic! Talk about Cindirella, not your silly dress."

"It was not a silly dress, Billirella!"

"Fine, but tell the story already."

"All right,” conceded Anidrella. "Anyway, it was to be a wonderful if not for Cindirella. You see, Her father and our mother was dating. And her father could not stand Cindirella any longer because she was just such a horrible kid. So, Mother graciously invited Cindirella to stay with us for a few months while her father went and on his business. Well, Cindirella just walked right into our house and decided she was the queen. Almost immediately, she started bossing Billirella and me around!"

"I recall she took your silly dress, Anidrella! Yes, I remember that..."

Cindirella always get what she wants. And she wants the new dress that Anidrella has. It was truly a beautiful dress. Mother was busy baking a cake when she entered the sisters’ room demanding for the dress. Naturally, Anidrella refused flatly. That was her dress after all. But Cindrella was not used to being refused.

Now, Cindirella was a fighter. Her punches were heavy and her kicks were strong. Before long, she had the dress in her hands and Anidrella and Billirella cowering in the corner. She was a bully.

But Billirella was not to give up without a fight. In the dark of the night, after Cindirella had gone to sleep, Billirella stole up to her room to try to steal the dress back for her sister. However, Cindirella discovered her in time and another fight took place. In the confusion, Anidrella decided that she would destroy the dress, rather than to let Cindirella have it. She picked up a scissor and cut many holes in the dress while Cindrella was punching the lights out of Billirella.

The next day, Cindirella wore the dress without noticing the holes and was embarrassed. That was how the rumor of Cindirella being made to wear torn clothes came about.

"The little bitch!” recalled Billirella. “She pinched my arm so hard; I still have the scars from it. I could sue!"

"We could get millions from the prince!"

"You're right... Anyway, from that day on, it was awful living with Cindirella. She was always sweet and charming to Mother, but whenever Mother wasn't around she would turn into a monster. Cindirella bullied us into giving her everything. Cindirella got the biggest bedroom, the best clothes, and all of our desserts.”

"Anyway, we believed Cindirella's father rather enjoyed her absence and decided to never come back.”

“And we had to suffer in his stead. As you know, Cindirella was only supposed to stay a few months, but she ended up staying ten long years before being married to the prince and went to live in the palace.”

"She did meet the prince at the royal ball, of course. But here's another part of the story that got really screwed up. Everyone thinks that poor Cindirella was forced to make Mother's dress, and our dresses."

"Bah! Cindirella has no idea what a needle looks like!"

”There was a magnificent seamstress in the town where we stayed and her name was Madam Sewalot. Madam Sewalot made the best dress in the entire kingdom, and Mother, ever the doting on Cindirella, actually paid a fortune to have a dress made for Cindirella.”

“However, the ungrateful witch actually disliked the dress! I would have died for that dress, it was so beautiful,” sighed Billirella.

“And Cindirella tore the dress to shreds,” added Anidrella.

"When the night of the royal ball came around, Cindirella was left with nothing to wear, so we went to the ball, and she stayed home to sulk. Mother said she could just wear one of her old gowns, but Cindirella didn't want to.”

"About an hour after we had arrived at the ball, Cindirella did turn up. And she is wearing the most wonderful dress! But where did she get the gown? No, not from her 'fairy godmother'! That was just a cover-up lie. Everyone knows there are no such things as fairy godmothers...

"Cindirella had stolen Mother's wedding gown!”

"Mother nearly fainted when she saw what Cindirella was wearing. Her babypink silk wedding gown fit Cindirella perfectly. The many diamonds that were hand-sewn into the fabric sparkled and glittered."

”Oh, how awful!” Anidrella had gasped.

”Oh, how horrible!” Billirella had cried.

”Oh, how beautiful!” Mother had whispered.

Mother was actually happy that Cindirella was wearing her dress! She thought Cindirella looked gorgeous in it, and wasn't mad that Cindirella had stolen her gown.

The moment Cindirella entered the royal ball, time froze. All eyes were on her. The band stopped playing, people stopped chattering, and couples stopped dancing. After a few moments of silence and staring, the prince quickly walked over to Cindirella and asked her to dance. Cindirella blushed and curtsied, and then the handsome prince and Cindirella danced the night away.

Anidrella and Billirella had wanted to confront Cindirella. But it was not appropriate with the prince being there and all. So they waited.

It was almost midnight when Mother decided she wanted to tell Cindirella how wonderful she looked in her wedding gown and was prepared to offer it to her as a gift. But when Cindirella saw Mother heading over to her, she quickly ran away! She had thought that Mother was coming to yell at her for stealing her dress.

In her haste, one of Cindirella's shoes fell off. The prince chased after her but all he found was her shoe. The prince was completely smitten by Cindirella and decided that he could not live without her. So, he started his search to find her. The prince searched the whole kingdom, looking for the woman whose foot fit the shoe.

"On the third day of his search, the prince arrived at our town. And when he arrived at our house, Cindirella was ready to pounce on him. She tried on the shoe and naturally, it fits. So the prince and Cindirella married and lived happily ever after.”

"Wrong.”

"After only a week of marriage, Cindirella started to show her true colors."

"I heard she bossed the king and queen around. Can you imagine that?!"

"I sure can. And the poor prince, there are political considerations and divorces are not encouraged in the royal family. However, I hear he took a second wife, a girl by the name of Snow White who used to live with seven single men.”

“Oh dear, the prince must be desperate. How decent can a lady be if she lives with seven men?”
