Losing my wallet

Lost my wallet...

This strangeness of this world is getting to me when the loss of the Identity Card makes me feel "unidentified" and the loss of those cards that the banks issued make me feel "broke"...

Maybe it's just me.

Crimson Dawn of Peace

Crimson torches light the sky
The dawn breaks in the East
One alone upon the blazing Earth
Raises the flag of peace
Now marching forth to the call
Come the pure and the truth
We rise from deep within the Earth
To deepen the rainbow’s blue

On golden wings we fly
Man’s dark night to cease
The Crimson Sun reveals the sky
The Crimson Dawn of Peace

Drums of peace awakes the Earth
The bells ring in the day
Golden youth upon the Mentor’s road
Opening up the way
To the peak! To the horizon
Our bright song to share
We rise undaunted by the storms
With mankind’s deepest prayer

Brilliant days are now begun
For all life we vow
To grow in faith and reach the universe
Kosen-Rufu now!
We’ll protect now and forever
Our castle of peace
Our joyful faith ignites the sky
The Crimson Dawn of Peace

National Day 2005

It’s over! The National Day break zips passed before I even got a whiff of it. Incredible!

It began with the National Day observation in school. I was rather looking forward to visiting Bishan Park where a jogathon was planned. However, the rain made the ground there highly unsuited to house a school of students. The celebration carried on in campus instead.

I had intended to do some work after the observation but a call by a colleague to go for karaoke made me realized how badly I needed that spiritual outlet. And they learnt that I am a wild rocker at heart. It was not any secret anyways. Rock is my first choice of musical style.

Did Gajukai in the evening. Lawrence recommended the book “Many Lives, Many Masters” by Dr Brian Weiss to me. I managed to get my hands on it and will review it here when I’m done with it.

National Day was spent with the YMDs of the NYPSD. We had a wonderful sharing session at TBSC in the afternoon. We followed that activity by going to Ay Deng’s place to enjoy the Parade together. And we ate too much.

Another karaoke session was scheduled with my NIE mates this afternoon. I couldn’t join them for dinner after because I had to rush for Yonsha. A serious Yonsha session finally. Many thoughts.

Fresh Leaves

~L~

Reading how Angua learnt the reason why Carrot and Colon respected Vimes so much brings a tear to my eye. A sentimental gem in the middle of a book which is mostly comedy.*

Wishing my mum a very Happy Birthday!!
